Actual
or Real |
|
|
|
There
are only two choices in life that have any reality:
1) to resist
what is actual, and be lost in the pain and suffering of the huge
confusions of competing, inconsistent and insane ideas
and beliefs about yourself and life.
2) to choose
to let go of all illusions, delusions, fears and beliefs
and, with immense sanity, let the universe take you in its dance.
All of us are
going with the universe anyway, no matter what. How could
it be otherwise? But unfortunately, some of us choose to fight it
all the way, creating pain, suffering and
destruction as we go.
We set
up complex and self-sustaining ideas about life and the world,
that keep us "unconscious" and separate from reality.
We force our
consciousness to sleep - try to
kill it -- to avoid being exposed to anything that needs conscious
openness, because that threatens the "insulation" that
we have created around our pain and real nature.

Actual/Real/Truth:
How life, the world, the universe actually is, whatever that may
be.
Ideas:
Mental creations about life and the world, which we use to build
the beliefs that we live our lives by.
Beliefs:
Sets of ideas that we consider "true" about our lives
and the world, from which we create the content and experience of
our lives.
Consciousness: Clear awareness, free of all ideas
of "reality". Completely aware of the consequences of
ideas and actions.
Identity/Self image: The person, the "me",
that exists in the world with name, bank account, job, partner and
life history.
Suffering: Life experiences created by a mismatch
between ideas of what actually is and what actually is.
Real "Self":
The immense and complete being we are, underneath all the filters,
ideas and self limitations that give people their sense of identity
and meaning.
